Recent Activity

CONFERENCES:
 

2012: 22nd International conference “The Problem of the National from the Perspective of the Old and the New World” took place at Minsk State Linguistics University on September 26-28 in conjunction with the Russian Association of Teachers of English Literature.

Co-organized by Dr. Yuri Stulov (Minsk State Linguistics University), Prof. Dr. Marina Nikola (Moscow Pedagogics State University), and Prof. Dr. Elena Chernozyomova (Moscow Pedagogics State University), the conference brought together American and British Studies scholars from Belarus, Lithuania, Poland, Republic of Korea, Russia, Ukraine, the UK, and the United States. This was an international meeting of great importance to Belarus Americanists, who could discuss the results of their research and prospective studies with their colleagues in other countries.

10th International conference “English Language Teaching and Area Studies: Prospects for the Future” was organized in cooperation with BelNATE-IATEFL at Minsk State Linguistics University on November 15-17. The conference brought together scholars from Belarus, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. It was a forum to discuss with new approaches and technologies that have to be integrated into school and university teaching of English and literatures in English and proved to be beneficial to teachers at all levels of the Belarusian system of education.

2013 : The annual BelAAS conference «The Artist in American and European Culture and Literature» will be held at Minsk State Linguistics University on November 18 – 19, 2013

2014 : The annual BelAAS conference « The World of Narure and Problems of Civilization in American and European Culture and Literature » will take place at the Minsk State Linguistics University on April 27–29.”
